Rhythm
Following the way of Jesus is about more than going to church on Sundays. We believe it’s an entire way of living. In order for us to pursue that life, we have adopted a shared “rhythm” for our community. Our rhythm is made up of a number of daily, weekly, and monthly practices that we believe God will use to shape us into the loving people we are meant to be. If you are new to our community, we would love for you to experiment with one of the disciplines and see where it leads you.
We have been given an ancient faith, and the prayers of the church, and prayers from the Bible give us a path to be spiritually formed. As followers of the way, we pray to a God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we pray in Jesus’ name, and we pray the prayer Jesus gave His disciples to pray. We invite you to join us in this practice of spiritual formation.
Prayers
“Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way, they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so they may take hold of the life that is truly life.” (1 Timothy 6.) We offer opportunities to participate in doing good for our community and in the enriching of our city.
Good Deeds
Jesus was the most generous person who ever lived. And in response to Jesus’ generosity, we are called to be generous with our money, we are charged to steward our possessions, and volunteer our time. And we follow Jesus, our example, into a life of cruciformed, shaped love.
